Entry requirements & Course structures
DURING 2007, THE CAA WILL BE MOVING TOWARDS FORMALISING CRM INITIAL & RECURRENT TRAINING, PARTICULARLY FOR CRE EXAMINERS. ALL COURSES WE RUN AT FET ARE BEING UPDATED TO FULLY EMBRACE CRM ASPECTS.
For full details of Examiner Courses, refer to CAA Standards Document 21: Authorisation of Flight Examiners and Ground Examiners for Single Pilot Aeroplanes
NOTE: Examiner Authorisation is not guaranteed, and will depend on both satisfactory performance on the relevant course and a successful Examiner Authorisation Acceptance Flight Test. FE (CPL) course acceptance is also dependent on the CAA determining the need for the examiner, who must then pass a selection interview with the CAA.
Whilst every endeavour will be made to prepare applicants for Acceptance Tests within the schedule of ground and flight training set out in our quotation, overruns, or retraining after an unsuccessful Acceptance Test are always possible. A further schedule will be determined by mutual agreement between FET and the applicant and charged on a pro rata basis.
